MTV Africa built an entire show around dragging that conversation back into the light, whether the ghost likes it or not. Here's the deets: Ghosted: Love Gone Missing ZA is a local adaptation of the US reality format. Hosts help people track down and confront whoever ghosted theme until someone finally says the quiet part out loud. Every episode, a different "Haunted" guest chasing down their "Ghost" for an answer nobody had the decency to give them the first time. The African version launched in 2021 with Shamiso Mosaka and Oros Mampofu fronting Ghosted: the first hosts to run the format on the continent. Together they had the right mix: empathy to sit with someone's heartbreak and the curiosity to get the truth. It premiered Monday 16 August at 21:30 on MTV Africa, DStv channel 130.
